The great thing the about the Aloita Resort and Spa is that it has something for everyone, including those that want to do absolutely nothing at all.  But if you’re an active person and like to keep busy in this beautiful tropical environment, Aloita has more than enough activities to keep you occupied.

The activity that the Mentawais is probably the most famous for is surfing, and Aloita is well positioned to get you great surf of all shapes and sizes.  There are roughly a dozen waves in the immediate area, including the world renowned lefthander Telescopes, and even a few little gems that break right off our island.  You can also use our high powered speedboats to take trips to the Playground area to the north or Peninsula area to the south.

One of the most underrated activities in the Mentawais is diving, and dive team at Aloita is essentially the authority at scuba and free diving this area.  We’ve got all the best gear and qualified instructors to show you a whole new world under the sea.

If you want to get a bit of a history lesson about the REAL Mentawai locals, Aloita offers guided treks to Siberut to meet the natives of this island and spend a night or two in their longhouses.  This is a race of people that has been studied extensively for years by anthropologists due to their unique and enduring traditional culture.
 
There are so many other activities right by the resort, though.  You can charter one of the speedboats for a full-day fishing excursion.  You can go for walks on our own private beach, or explore the trails and jungles or our own island.  Or you can take a quick ride to Tua Pajet and visit with the locals there.

But if none of that appeals to you, Aloita is possibly the best place in the world to do a whole lotta nothin’.  You can sleep on the beach, get a massage, have a drink and watch the flat screen all day long at the A Bar, or just never leave the comfort of your room.  Aloita is paradise, and how you spend your time in this paradise is entirely up to you…
